END APRONS AND SUPPORTS

Once your leg sets are constructed, it is easy to join them to each other by attaching the end aprons and bottom end supports. This time, use glue and 2" (5cm) screws. This joint will take much abuse, so it is a good idea to use screws here.

END/CROSS SUPPORTS

Carefully cut your end/cross supports as directed in the cutting list. Mark the location of the cross supports on the end aprons and bottom end supports as shown in diagram, considering that the cross supports will sit on each side of the center of the end aprons and end supports.

Once you are satisfied with the placement, secure with wood glue and 2" (5cm) screws to the end aprons and a 1 ¼" finish nail where the cross supports overlap.
